Organize Pages on iOS

Managing PDF pages is very important if you are a student or a professional, which can now be easily done on your iOS devices with UPDF.

Download and install the UPDF application for iOS from App Store on your iPhone. Launch the application and click on the "+" icon to import a PDF document you want to organize. Tap the PDF to open.

After opening a PDF on your iOS devices, you can:

  • Rotate pages
  • Extract pages
  • Insert new pages from other PDFs or blank pages
  • Copy & paste pages
  • Share pages
  • Delete pages
  • Reorder pages
  • Split Pages

1. Rotate Pages

To rotate a page in PDF, you can simply tap on it to select, and then tap on "Rotate".

2. Extract Pages

You can also extract pages in a PDF by selecting them and tapping on "Extract". A pop-up window will appear and you have to choose a directory to save the extract pages.

3. Insert Pages

To insert pages into the opened PDF, tap on "Insert" on the bottom toolbar. UPDF provides two options:

  • Choose another PDF to insert
  • Scan an image to insert
  • Insert a blank page into the opened PDF

Choose any option that you want and proceed to the next step according to the on-screen prompt.

4. Copy & Paste Pages

UPDF for iOS also supports copying and pasting pages. To do that, simply choose the page that you want and click "Copy", then the "Paste" option.

5. Share Pages

You can also share a single or several page(s) through the installed apps by tapping on the "Share" option.

6. Delete Pages

To delete a specific page from the PDF, select and tap on it, and then choose the "Delete" option.

7. Reorder Pages

If you wish to re-order any page within the document, drag and drop the page within the thumbnail to arrange it according to your requirements.

8. Split Pages

UPDF for iOS also supports Split Pages features that enable splitting a PDF file into two or more files based on the number of pages, size, or bookmark. To use this feature, open a PDF and navigate to the "V" icon, tap on "Organize Pages".

After that, you will see the "Split" option from the toolbar on the bottom, simply tap on it. You will witness the following choices:

Way 1. Split by Number of Pages

Select Split by Number of Pages. A dialogue box will appear; set the number of pages you want to split into PDFs. For instance, if your PDF has ten pages and you choose one, ten new PDFs will be created. Hit the Split button to begin splitting.

Way 2. Split by Page Size

This option enables you to split based on the size of the file. You can manually input the size of each PDF you want. For instance, if you have over 200 MBs of a file, you can choose whether you want to split each ten MBs of your PDF into a new file. Once you have selected MBs, hit the Split button.

Way 3. Split by Bookmark

The last option is to split by the Top-Level Bookmarks. By top-level, UPDF means parent bookmarks. All the content under one parent bookmark (one that's highest in the hierarchy) will be converted into a separate PDF. You can manually input the name of the split file.

If your file doesn't have any bookmarks, this option won't be available.
