Security Space

1. What is Security Space?

Security Space is a location within the UPDF app that can be protected with a passcode or Face ID. This allows users to restrict access to certain confidential or private files and prevent others from being able to view them.

2. How to Add Files to Security Space

Files can be moved into Security Space using the following actions:

Method 1: Long Press the File to Add the File to Security Space

  • For a single file, one easy way to add the file to security space is to long-press the file on the Home page or the Files page using your finger. This will bring up a toolbar with available actions for that file. Then, simply select "Move into Security Space" from the toolbar.

Method 2: Add Files to Security Space from Settings

  • Tap your Profile icon on the top left and choose "Settings".

  • Tap "Security Space" and authenticate the access attempt when prompted.

  • Tap the "+" symbol on the bottom right of Security Space.

  • Select one of the import options to bring files in from various locations as described in the Import section of this guide.

Method 3: Multi-select the Files to Add

  • If you want to add multiple files to the Security Space at once, you can click the selection icon in the upper right corner. Now you can select the files or folders you want to add.

  • Finally, click "Move here" to confirm.
