Gestures for UPDF Android

Working on PDFs with many pages can be tedious, especially when using a mobile phone to view the document. Thankfully, UPDF for Android has incorporated gestures to ease your task and improve productivity. Users can easily simplify their operations using these intuitive gestures, from simple swipes and taps to complex multi-touch gestures. Let's dive in and unleash the potential of Android gestures!

Here are the supported gestures:

  • Pinch: Pinch with two fingers to zoom in and out.
  • Long press:
    • Tap the created comment to modify the properties of the created comment;
    • Long press the page's blank space to add or paste, etc.;
    • In the opened PDF file, long-pressing the text allows you to quickly select a single word. A floating toolbar will then appear, enabling you to translate, highlight, underline, copy, share, or search the word in a web browser.
    • Long-pressing a PDF file in the file list or long-pressing a file folder will quickly bring up the management toolbar for that file/folder.
  • Two fingers: In annotation/edit mode, slide with two fingers to turn pages.
  • Drag: In Organize Pages mode, you can long-press specific pages, then swipe and drag them to rearrange in your preferred order.
  • Tap:
    • On the PDF editing interface, tap anywhere on the opened PDF file to show or hide the top and bottom toolbars.
  • Swipe down: Swiping down in a folder within UPDF will refresh the file list for that folder.
  • Left swipe: Swipe to the left to delete file from the list.
