Splitting pages with UPDF on your iPhone or iPad helps you divide a single page into multiple sections accurately. Pages can be divided in either vertical or horizontal direction so that the content becomes easier to find and read. The process is simple and includes clear visual guides that show where the page will be divided. Try this feature by downloading the UPDF app from the App Store.
How to Crop a Page on iOS?
Once you open a PDF on UPDF iOS, tap the “Crop” icon in the menu below. This feature provides three ways to crop the PDF.

Way 1. Freeform Cropping
In the next screen, drag the handles around the page to draw the crop area and adjust until the targeted layout is captured.

Way 2. Smart Cropping
Enable the “Smart Crop” option and let the app capture the content boundaries for a cleaner automatic crop.

Way 3. Proportional Cropping
If you want to choose a fixed aspect ratio to crop the page, toggle the “Constrain Proportions” option. Once you’re done with cropping the targeted area, enable the “Apply Changes” option and tap on the “Apply” option in the top right corner.

How to Crop Multiple Pages on iOS?
When working with a PDF with multiple pages, UPDF also supports the cropping of multiple pages within a few taps.
Instructions. After you crop a page and enable the “Apply Changes” option, tap on the “Page Range” option. Next, choose the “Select” icon, where you can go for further options to select all pages, even, odd, or a custom page range as well. You can also select the pages manually for cropping.

How to Restore Cropped Pages?
Cropped pages can be restored to a full page anytime while editing the document.
Instructions. Open the cropped page and choose the “Crop” option in the menu below. Next, select the “Restore” icon, then tap “Apply” to restore the cropping changes on the PDF page.

How to Revert All Changes?
If you’re not satisfied with the restored or cropped PDF pages, you can revert all adjustments with ease.
Instructions. To revert all the changes, simply tap on the “Undo” option at the top and keep tapping until you reach your desired version of PDF.

Splitting pages with UPDF on your iPhone or iPad helps you divide a document into multiple smaller versions. This is essential for file organization, allowing users to make their large PDF management convenient.
How to Split a Page
Split Pages feature allows splitting a PDF file into two or more files based on the number of pages, file size, or top-level bookmarks.
To use this feature, tap on the “More” icon at the top right corner and use the “Organize Pages” option. Next, choose the “Split” option to view multiple splitting modes.

Way 1. Split by Number of Pages
To split pages by number, select the “Number of Pages” option, and a dialogue box will appear. Set the number of pages you want to split and tap on the “Split” option to begin the splitting process.

Way 2. Split by File Size
This option allows you to split pages based on file size. After entering the “File Size” option, set the size of the PDF you want and tap on the “Split” option to start splitting pages by size.

Way 3. Split by Top-Level Bookmarks
Lastly, choose the “Top List Bookmarks” option. This option converts all content under a single parent bookmark into a separate PDF. Next, tap on the “Split” option to start the splitting process.

How to Split Multiple Pages on iOS
You can split multiple pages into individual PDF files, with each file containing only one page from the original document.
Way 1. Split With Multi-Select or Select All
First, choose the “Select” option in the top right corner and select all the pages you want to split. Next, choose the “Done” option and tap on the “Split” in the bar below to split all pages.

Way 2. Split All Pages Buttons
Another way to split all pages is to use the dedicated option in this feature. To split all pages, simply tap on the “Split All Pages” option and use the “Split” option below to split all pages at once.
