UPDF AI can convert a PDF to mind maps with one simple click. A mind map provides a visual way to view the relationship between the ideas. It helps better understand content, enhance creativity, and improve content organization.
UPDF AI lets you create a mind map of the entire PDF or specific pages in your preferred language. Afterward, you can do a lot with the mind map:

Follow the below steps to convert PDF to mind maps with UPDF:
Step 1. Open a PDF in UPDF, activate UPDF AI from the bottom right corner, and click the "Mind Map" button located above the chat box.
Step 2. Select the mind map language and page range. Afterward, click "Go". UPDF AI will instantly create the mind map.
Step 3. Once created, you can zoom in or out of the mind map or view it on the full screen. Alternatively, you can use the browser icon to open the mind map in the browser or get a sharable link.
If you want to download the mind map, click the "Download" icon and choose whether you want to download it as an image, markdown, or PDF file.
Step 4. To add the mind map to the opened PDF, click its icon and choose between "Insert to the home page" or "Insert with PDF size".
The former will insert the mind map as the first page in the PDF but will have a customized page size depending on the mind map dimensions. The latter will insert the mind map as the first page but follow the document page size.

Click the "flashing blub" icon from the chat box and tap "Summarize by Page".

B. Translate PDF

- Open UPDF and load the PDF you wish to translate. Switch to Reader mode.
- In Reader mode, click the "PDF Translation" option on the top menu bar.
- Select your target language and the page range for translation. The feature currently supports 12 languages: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish, and Portuguese.
- After setting your preferences, click "Translate," and choose a folder to save the translated file.
- UPDF will generate a new PDF with the translation, preserving the original formatting and layout. The translated file will open automatically in UPDF.
Way 2. Select to Translate
Select the text from the PDF you want to translate. From the pop-up window, click the UPDF AI drop-down menu, tap "Translate", and choose the translation language. Please be noted that by using this translation feature, you can translate a PDF to 27 languages, including English, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Dutch, French, German, and more.

Way 3. Translate through the Chat Box
You can copy the text from the PDF and use prompt like "Translate this text to [language name]: [paste content]" in the chat box to get the required translation. If you choose this way to translate your PDF, then all languages are supported.
